Every crime called into the police has been recorded and placed on a map. From threats, to Grand theft, all the way to Homicide, which happened to be defined by the type, such as: stabbing, burning, shooting etc.
To speak on behalf of the North End, overall crime is still far worse than the rest of the city.

If you place the time period from December 19th 2011 to December 19th 2011 to District 3 (North End and West K.) the map becomes overloaded because the processor can't keep up with the amount of crimes. In contrast, St. Boniface has only had a few dozen incidents of crime in the past year.

http://winnipeg.ca/crimestat/Christopher Allardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13143808790450122194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090907602832466096.post-36647106053288403522012-12-19T09:17:40.865-06:002012-12-19T09:17:40.865-06:00I also feel fairly certain that crime is down over...I also feel fairly certain that crime is down overall in the North End - it's something I've been noticing throughout the year, fewer mentions by far this year. That said, as a lowly blogger who holds down two jobs I don't quite have the time to fully research that properly - so I did indeed take the "easy" way out since the murder statistics are obviously easier to comb through. Gut feeling says lower on all serious incidents.Winnipeg Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02295414233123710760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090907602832466096.post-44045268077529590412012-12-18T17:28:05.299-06:002012-12-18T17:28:05.299-06:00That's good! I think. What about other crimes?...That's good! I think. What about other crimes? Like, say, someone did not get murdered, but severely beaten? We tend to use death as the ultimate marker, which I guess makes sense. But, what about other violent, destructive crimes?
